Build update at The Village
Construction of the Central Townhouses at The Village is progressing well in Middleton Field - Daylesford’s newest neighbourhood.
Designed by leading sustainable architect Breathe, The Village includes 31 townhouses arranged across four distinct blocks — North, Central, South and East.
Framing for the 12 new Central townhouses is nearing completion, with installation of the brickwork and timber cladding underway. The first homes are expected to finish by the end of this year, with all homes in the Central block scheduled for completion by March 2026.

The design and material selections by Breathe for The Village homes have been guided by a commitment to enduring quality and environmental responsibility.
The build has been supported by close collaboration between Hygge, architect Breathe and Ballarat-based builder Langdon. Regular site inspections are taking place, ensuring overall design integrity and detail is maintained.
With the build taking shape, the use of authentic, tactile materials with natural finishes is becoming apparent.
Exterior highlights include the blonde austral bricks (a certified carbon neutral product) and the Australian blackbutt timber cladding, both chosen for longevity and natural texture (facade images below).
The internal concrete mix incorporates 30% fly ash, a recycled by-product replacing a portion of cement, reducing embodied carbon while maintaining strength and performance (final image below).
Next Steps - internal fittings are being installed in the more advanced homes, with landscaping works set to commence in the coming weeks.
A limited number of Central Townhouses remain including 2 and 3-bedroom homes. This is a unique opportunity to secure a new architect-designed sustainable and considered home in Daylesford.
