Winter Sounds in Daylesford

Following its sell-out success last year, Winter Sounds is returning to Daylesford and surrounds this August with a fantastic line up of contemporary Australian artists.

Offering a weekend of intimate shows within unique and historic spaces across central Victoria, headline performers include Tex Perkins and Jen Cloher.

Along with Visit Victoria and a range of local and larger businesses, Hygge Property is a proud supporter of this year’s event.

Performances will be staged within out-of-the-way bush halls, historic churches and gold-rush era buildings across Daylesford, Glenlyon, Bullarto and Clunes.

“Winter Sounds is about providing audiences with the opportunity to experience extraordinary performances in extraordinary spaces, and we are so excited to be rugging up and returning to the Daylesford region this Winter”

Winter Sounds Director, Dave Frazer.

As part of the experience, Music fans have an opportunity to travel aboard an art deco train to the historic Bullarto Hall to enjoy sets by Gareth Liddiard, Adalita, Martin Frawley and Jess Ribeiro.

After a half hour journey through the Wombat State Forest on the Spa Country Railway, it’s a leisurely wander up an old bush track to the Bullarto Hall, where the fire drums will be roaring and the Mountain Goat tinnies will be on ice.

The Town Hall and St Peter’s Catholic Church in Daylesford will host two evening concerts, with the buildings to be spectacularly lit to showcase the historic architecture .

Winter Sounds is taking place across Daylesford and surrounds from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 August 2023. Curate your own festival experience with ticketing available to individual performances.
