Growth at The Roads
The Canadian Creek Reserve landscaping at new neighbourhood The Roads in Mount Clear is progressing well despite current drought conditions.
Wildlife has been spotted taking advantage of the recent creek restoration works and new planting undertaken as part of the project. Over 5000 new plants including blackwood’s, banksias, wattles, gums and grasses were planted alongside the creek bed last year.
The works also included extensive weed control (removal of Blackberry, Gorse, Hawthorn and Thistle) and earthworks providing long-term embankment stabilisation of the creek which meanders through the site of The Roads.
